As announced by Vince McMahon during tonight's episode of ECW, the program will cease to air in three weeks time and be replaced by a "brand new, innovative, never-before-seen program".
McMahon said it'll be "the next evolution of WWE; the next evolution of television history."
The final episode of ECW will be taped on Feb. 22 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The new series, WWE NXT, will debut the following Tuesday and is expected to be taped that night in Wichita, Kansas.
WWE recently registered the NXT trademark to use in "the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through the media of television."
