I can't remember if it had voiceovers but the cover says "The directors cut" and under that it says "the original cut of the futuristic adventure".

But i doubt voiceover or no voiceover would save it for me.

The final cut is the best, well except that Ridley used the "I want more life FATHER" instead of "I want more life FUCKER"

I remember watching it in 4k HD at The Astor, amazing stuff. You really need to watch it a few times but it really is an amazing film, one of the best sci-fi movies ever made. I would go as far as saying its Ridley Scott's best film.

Edit: Trask if you watched the lame early 90's "director's cut" then you need to watch the release that came out 2 years ago. The final cut is Ridley's TRUE directors cut.

If you paid any more than $17 for that, you got ripped off Aussie_Crippler. I've seen it at Target for around that price, but it's about $50 everywhere else. Additionally - tell me if it's worth the money. I've been tempted, but never gone through with buying it...14 hours of RoboCop designed for 'younger adults' (contrary to the films which were R/MA15+) seems like it might be Sh*t.

Yeah, I got ripped off. Had I known places were selling it for $17, I would done that. Thats an easier $30 I could of used it in Melbourne this weekend

I bought it because I remember watching it whilst living in the Philippines as a 15 year old. We had an Action TV Channel, and this was my favourite show (Well, apart from Relic Hunter for obvious reasons) .

Yeah, its designed for a young audience, but I gotto love that attempts to repeat the Verhoeven vision, and in some ways they succeed. Espeically the media coverage scenes and pro-capitalism advertising

The evil characters are way over the top.

I mainly bought because, like Poison, I've been into wanting to get it for a while, but very unsure.

Meh, I'm fairly happy, Entertaining for a good laugh at how they look at social justice issues.

While that would make sense for an English, we didn't. We just watched the movie and then had to do some sort of assignment on it, the specifics of which i can't remember in the slightest.

When I did it we read "Brave New World" which seemed to tie in perfectly to the film and made both the film and the book make so much more sense. Apparently they changed it and now they have to read Frankenstein with it instead.

Havn't purchased a dvd since Ultimate Fighter season 7, would nearly qualify as the longest period that i have gone without buying any (for this year anyway  ). There have been a few that i do want to buy, but i'm waiting for a price drop on certain titles (sick of 'been burned' by buying certain single/2 disc editions at $24 - $28, only for them to drop in price to $12 - $20 within 4 - 8 weeks of initial release).

Plus 4 recent UFC events (can't remember which ones) for $2 each.

I'm gonna go back today to buy a few more.

At JB they have:

The final cut (true one)
Another one which has 4 different cuts of the movie

I liked the movie, but i think i would have appreciated it more if i watched it when it first came out all those years ago
I may hire the true cut to see if it's worth the purchase on Blu-Ray

It was ok, storywise it was nothing great by any stretch of the imagination. It was saved by ZB and Jason Bateman's chemistry, Charles Grodin's delivery and unexpected swearing and Amanda Peet's hawtness.

An interesting film to say the least. The commitment shown by Bale proves once again why i think he's one of the best actors of the last 15 years.

Yes, the Machinist is a very good film.  Bale was magnificent, if somewhat hard to watch in places (when I could see his ribs it broke my heart! especially after seeing his extremely hot body in American Psycho).

Yeah, some of his scenes was a bit disturbing. He lost 28kb for the role and then put that back on plus another 18 for Batman.



It was good but i found it stupid how it ended for Moss.
