Its cool alright just a pain in the ass to get the discs out, there so tightly packed in and they kind of stick to the plastic. Its gotten a little better over time you have to be quite delicate when getting them out

Muaddib, as far as watching this flick for the fact that it has a vampire in it, I'd steer clear from it. If you like a good story that's very well told with great scriptwriting, acting and cinematography then this is ideal. Sure, I suppose technically it's a vampire movie but it delivers so much more.

I remember reading a comment on RT that mentioned something along the lines of LTROI being genre busting. A one of a kind vampire movie. In that it's barely a vampire movie. Tongue

I don't know about that, to me there is still a lot of tradition to the vampire mythology in it, as in the blood supplier/caretaker, the old rule of not entering without being invited. I think the young age of the two leads though is where the creativity comes from personally, that and some of the other stuff delves into. But at its core i think it does stick very close to the vampire myths which is what i like so much about it to be honest, as tender as it is you never quite forget that she is indeed a predator and at the same time it takes a fresh look on those myths. Its right up there with Nosferatu <Herzog and original silent film> for me as being one of the best vampire narratives i've ever seen.

Anyways bought tonight

REC <couldn't be bothered getting an image>

Just watched this -

 - or "Timecrimes" in English.  EXCELLENT little Spanish time travel/sci-fi piece that doesn't require a single VFX shot to show you how the genre should be done.  Highly recommended.

Crank 2 High Voltage, F*ckING INSANE and I loved every crazy minute of it Smiley You thought the first movie was insane, wait till you see this, truly an exploitation movie of today's standards

Saw this one on the weekend.

I have a fear of ventriloquist dummies so this one is up there with great scares for me.
I've seen it before and got it at the right price.  Still gives me shivers seeing all those damn dolls!!!

Watched this on the weekend. Plenty of lulz. I watched it with fairly low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. It's awesome when that happens.

Good little Aussie flick with a solid cast. Pretty good CGI as well. Simple story and it was well made.

While there are other shows on the same level of greatness as the Wire IMO the fourth season stands alone as maybe the best individual season of any show absolutely brilliant!

Watched this last night. Rather average. Seemed like it didn't know what movie it wanted to be so it just tried to be all of them. Supernatural does the demon/exorcism stuff better and in half the time.

So I've heard. Season 4 is probably my favourite so far.

Watched this earlier.

Went to Sanity yesterday and they had some of their Bluray dvd's as 2 for $50. They had mislabelled Season 3 of Supernatural as that, normally it retails at about $90 on it's own, so i grabbed that as well as the Bluray version of The Incredible Hulk. They weren't happy be about it but still had to do it. Grin

Extremely sad that i'm a fan of said film series, and had to get the latest (also jumped at the chance since it was out earlier than expected).

Saw this a few months ago, thought it was a-ok.... with the release of the dvd, i just had to get it  Smiley

Tinkering with the idea of buying the Bourne trilogy on blu-ray, it's not a necessity (considering i already own multiple copies on dvd  Tongue), but it is looming as my next addition to the blu-ray collection.

I thought i was done with TUF, as really my interest had peaked with season 7 and i hadn't really paid much attention to TUF 8 and beyond. I was initially not interested in acquiring future seasons on dvd, but season 8 was cheap cheap cheap  Smiley (well CHEAPER than the new release prices of seasons 2 - 7 that i paid for).

On another topic, season 1 was probably the cheapest season overall... the rest basically increased as the seasons gradually came out.

Absolutely loved it. From the comedy of Carrell to the hotness of Hathaway to the awesomeness of having both The Rock AND Khali in the same movie.

Hathaway was so hot in this. Never found her HOT before. She's been good looking and elegant but never smoking until Get Smart.

Watched this the other night,

Thought it was ok, started off real good but i kind of lost interest with all the twists and turns that started halfway through. Just seemed a bit much.

Watched "Allied Powers" the worlds greatest tag teams over two nights... not bad.

Morrison and The Miz did a good job on it imo.

Watched the director's cut of Watchmen on Blu-ray yesterday night, was ok but not that good.

I liked the obvious influences from 2001, Blade Runner and The Matrix.
