Yes you must. Insider is great.

I'll go Youtube the trailer for the series and see if i like it. Smiley

Decent movie. Some slick fighting but it would've been way more enjoyable if the subtitles wasn't lightning quick. I had to pause and rewind to read a lot of them.

Having already read the book (and loving it, my favourite read in fact) I was instantly let down with this. Not only because of the story gaps but the acting is nowhere near as emotional or as intense as I imagined it while reading the book. Especially the bit where Ali and Hossan leave. I thought Baba would have lost his sh*t there but it was pretty calm.

Awesome movie that i doubt many people know about.

One of my alltime fave movies.  Definitely on the "desert island" list.  The commentary with Black, Kilmer and RDJ on the blu-ray is just as hilarious as the film itself.

"8% . . ?!  Who taught you math?!?!?!".

Yeah i'll admit to being a little confused the first time i saw it in the first half, more so with the prison ladies and how it sets em up. Don't think i was fully reading the subs right that first watch. Or it could of just been the china town bootleg copy i had at the time.

Good film though, but doesn't quite top Mr Vengeance and Oldboy for me. Although i did love the Baroque soundtrack to the film.

last watched

Saw IV and Saw V - In prep for Saw VI tonight.

I haven't seen Oldboy lately (but i should) but I'll say i easily prefer it over Lady Vengeance. Still need to see Mr Vengeance to complete the trilogy.

But i will say my favourite Park Chan-wook film is probably JSA. I loved that. Looking forward to Thirst though.

Good call with JSA as it tends to get over looked by the "Extreme Asia" fans, JSA is defiantly up there as one of his finest works, if not probably still the best he has done. Out of the vengeance trilogy i tend to swing towards Mr Vengeance, I love Oldboy but there was something so stark and grim and captivating about Mr Vengeance that it comes out as being the best of the trilogy for me, everyone gravitates to Oldboy I think because of the shocking twist. One of my favorite films from him is actually I'm a Cyborg But That's Ok, its a total 180 from the vengeance trilogy and JSA but its kind of a quirky sweet film.

Thirst does sag a little in the middle but if you give it a chance i think you'll like it. I liked it and thought it was really good though. Can't wait for it to get a DVD release.

When it had its extremely limited run at Reading Cinemas back in July, it was playing for two weeks at one cinema in the city (Sydney), so i checked it out then. First Park film i've seen at a cinema was really cool too.

Good film if you stick with it though, some people i know thought it sagged too much in the middle and was too bogged down but if you keep with it all the way through i think you'll be pleased with it.

I tend to usually keep an eye out for smaller films and foreign films playing in cinemas for some reason. Its kind of a nice change to see stuff like that as opposed to the normal every day mainstream stuff playing at Cambelltown Greater Union every week.

Quick question peeps, Blu-Ray movies whats the go with region locking?

I know games aren't region locked, but suspect movies would be

Anyway, I've been told on ebay through a store with good rep that the Blu-Ray i'm after isn't region coded and thus will work on my Aus PS3

Region B is Australia, Region A is the US.

Its really a mixed bag, some studios put out region free discs while some lock theirs.

Pro tip - stay away from Fox and Lionsgate US Blu releases, all of them are guaranteed to be locked

You can find some decent lists as to what is locked and not on Google.

I don't think we have any small cinemas around here that play unknown films. Which sucks.

Watched this.

Did you watch Chaser yet Hobo?

This was great. Philip Seymour Hoffman's voice acting was terrific. Not so much Toni Collette's adult Mary.

Yeah I grabbed that as well today, its a really good film and surprising on how many topics it touches on. Very oddball yet very sweet, funny and touching, really liked it.

Not yet with The Chaser, i do plan on watching it either tonight or tomorrow night. Kind of got distracted with re watching the Saw series. I did watch Inside though, man that film is crazy. PERIOD.

Finished episode 4 last night. Will probably finished it off tonight.

I like it but it's a little uneventful so far. I was expecting something like Band Of Brothers.

I recommend checking out a series called "Over There". That was a good one about the Iraqi conflict (the 2003 one, not Desert Storm).

Unfortunatly it only had one season.

Knew it was a good idea waiting for a price drop on The Shield.
