WWE officials contemplated months ago of putting The Miz back in the WWE Championship picture come January. That did not happen and he has not won a televised singles match since the December 5, 2011 edition of Raw. There are people within WWE who believe top officials are blaming him for the Survivor Series drawing a disappointing buy number. Teaming with R-Truth, he appeared in the main event against John Cena and The Rock.

The pay-per-view event, which featured The Rock’s first wrestling match in over seven years, is estimated to have garnered 260,000 buys worldwide. It was reported that of that figure, 160,000 pay-per-view purchases came from the United States.

The estimate compares to 244,000 buys in 2010 and 235,000 in 2009, which nearly got the show scrapped from the annual pay-per-view line-up

That is the dumbest thing ive heard.  "Let's blame The Miz for poor ratings"...  Pathetic excuse of where to point the blame.    Someone's obviously on drugs...
But referring to Miz...  he was better teaming with Truth, they should've let them continue for a few months.

Totally Miz's fault. Nothing to do with the guy who didn't bother showing up until the week before his first match in 7 years. Cool logic.

The Problem with Survivor Series is they have gone away from the unique concept that made it what it was.

Spot on.

Blaming any single performer for poor ratings is ridiculous. Especially when almost everything done on screen, is a direct order from those sitting backstage.

From memory, the Survivor Series had about 3 weeks of build up. Most of the matches were made 1 week before the PPV & the main draw of the PPV, was to see whether John Cena & The Rock could co-exsist...

If any single person is to blame, it is The Rock.

How though? The Rock is a bigger draw than anyone on the active WWE roster.

That's the point, he is meant to be some massive draw, but he didn't draw sh*t. It's The Rock who should be bringing in the numbers, not The Miz.

It's cos everyone wants to see him kick the Sh*t out of Cena, not team with him. Those buys were just the curiosity factor of how Rock would pull up in his first match in 7 years. Damn well.

It was a nothing match - nobody ever thought Miz & R-Truth were going to win.  In fact they would have been better served swerving us on the ending by having one of the heels laid out in the middle of the ring and the other out of action outside the ring and have Cena & The Rock turn on each other over who gets the pin - same sort of ending with Rock laying Cena out but then have him walk away and let Miz crawl over and pin Cena.  It would have at least been unexpected and the heels would have got a cheap win rather than being brought down after jobbing like a curtain jerker.

Batista just looks so funny now. I'd love to see him come back to the 'E and be smaller than all the guys he used to have matches against.

Several readers have sent in the following photo, which features an unmasked Kane, aka Glenn Jacobs, during WWE's recent tour of Abu Dhabi:
