I see this one has disappeared too. Let it begin again.

What's everyones thoughts on the chants directed towards Roy?

If it happened here, there'd be cries of boycotting and everything that comes with it.

Yet they'll happily chant it towards him.

Twenty20 doesn't mean squat to the One Day champions. Better luck next time India.

What's with the established and well frequented threads being removed?

It's beyond a joke~

I agree the whole racism deal is not exactly an even thing. The punishments and criticisms should be the same all over the world, it's ridiculous to see pretty strong double standards going on.

Though Andrew Symonds should not let something stupid and small bother him.

He didn't make 2 golden ducks in a row like ur sydney dude did he? NO. Hodge should have opened. He's a far superior player/opener than Clarke. And wtf is Haddin doing in the team? The second best keeper in the country is the Tassie dude, Tim Paine.

Mitchell Johnson, oh wat a star. And Wtf is Cameron White? He proved last night how important he is to Australia after demolishing South Australia almost single handedly!

I hate Michael Clarke, but Hodge is really doing nothing in the team right now, he should start contributing or be dropped.

England showed they aren't afraid to axe a struggling player when they dropped Strauss, Australia shouldn't be either.

And Brad Haddin > Tim Paine

The thing that really bugs the Sh*t out of me and just boggles my mind is when they bowl a Clarke or a Hodge before Hogg. Why bother with Hogg at all if you're gonna bowl him down the line.

Anyone remember the World Cup 1992 in Brisbane where the chants of "Indians are Wankers" broke out, what is the bet that will happen again when they come out here again.

There is only 1

It's what really pisses me off. As I said above, if it happened here towards them, they'd be crying that much and all that Sh*t. It happens over there and barely a whimper.

I don't condone it anywhere, sure get in the sly chants like the Poms do, but nothing that is too stupid or ridiculous.

Calling Indians "Wankers" isn't racist though....

Side note, I was talking to an Indian dude on Saturday and he was talking about a very Powerful Monkey God called "Hannaman" or something like that, that they worship

Make of that what you will.

damn... tim paine 2nd best keeper?  turn it up!

i've played against tim paine, and as such i'd love to see him get higher honours... however, he is not even keeping for tassie in the pura cup!  he did for a couple of months last summer, but his batting suffered big time. they brought clingeleffer back and he and butterworth won us the pura cup final!

paine also struggles to open the batting and keep in the one dayers for tassie. i'll be very interested to see how he goes now in the middle order.  he's sadly a much different player to what he was when he was rising through the ranks- he looks nervous to me every time he bats. he was always so explosive.

i'll give u the tip- matthew wade is the next big thing with keeping- i can't believe that tassie let him go.  i also played a game against him as a young chap, and as a wicket keeper myself, i learned so much from him. he was a really, really nice guy as well.

so, paine, second best keeper in oz? LOL.  in one day cricket, he's behind haddine and ronchi (i want this man to play for australia!)

regarding racism- i have grave fears about the upcoming summer. unfortunately, australian sporting crowds are a pack of wankers, and there will be sections of the crowd who try to get retribution for roy.

i just hope when/if murali comes out here and 'we' should NO BALL every time he bowls he doesn't cry about it and claim racism.

how about the first test? there's a couple of spots open- who do you see getting in?

firstly, i think jaques has done enough over the last few years to get first crack. i was open to hussey opening and bringing in another middle order batsman, but i don't think anyone is banging down the door. the next batsman in the queue for a spot in the team is jaques.

regarding the spinner... well, gabba is often a green top... the 2nd test is in tassie, who won the pura cup last year playing four quicks.

i think we should play 4 quicks- i don't think we will, but i think we should. especially when the pitches are going to be favourable, we should play the four best bowlers, whether they be slow or quick bowlers. we've got part time spinners in clark and symonds- so i reckon play 4 quicks. i'd love to see one of those bowlers be hilfenhaus- he is such an amazing bowler to watch. great line and length, the best swing bowler in australia, bowls a cracking bouncer (that he doesn't use enough)- and he provides a very different option to the rest of the 'top 4' in australian fast bowlers.

1. hayden
2. jaques
3. ponting
4. clark
5. hussey
6. symonds
7. gilchrist
8. lee
9. johnson
10. clarke
11. hilfenhaus

tait, as good as he was in the world cup, just isn't good enough for the 5 day game i don't think.  and regarding a spinner? well, just let them all shoot it out in the pura cup- hogg, bailey, casson (if he gets a game), cullen.  (i don't think macgill will get a look in because a) he's 35 and b) there's plenty of people in the team that don't like him, including the one that matters- ponting)

Is it me, or is there next to nobody at the game today?
I tell you what i did, sold it to someone from my school for 350. (Note: It had a chip in it to play burnt games). He believed it was in good condition, after that day he said it still runs alright but get a red circle, i said i did not even know what that was and there we go out the window, got my 80GB PS3 last year, runs smooth as.

I'd like to see Jacques get to a ton.

Maybe there's nobody at the game because of a few reasons...wasn't it raining? Also it's only the first day, things usually pick up as the action really starts.

And it's Sri Lanka. Nobody gives a Sh*t about them.

What's up with the spelling of Murali's name? Changes just about every time I see him playing.

So your Jacques hate is not going to be a long running and bitter experience like your Watson hate?   Or your Katich hate?

Oh, I think it could get up there with Watson. But not on the levels of Katich. God I hate him so much.

It could be a very good summer with the way Jacques is slowly plodding along. (I only saw him when he got to around 60, before coming home from work. Can't get the reception on my TV here) Just looking now, he's got his ton. Very long summer.

I remeber getting smoked by New Zealand in the opening match when Crowe got a ton, and was it Jeff Wilson or Chris Harris ran David Boon out with a direct hit?

Jacques needs to up his strike rate huh?

Anyone watching NZ v SA? Bond looks bad-ass in a goattee.
Twice the pleasure!
