Three Top Raw Stars Whom Almost Led The Nexus
« on: February 20, 2011, 04:16:23 PM »
- WWE officials considered John Morrison, Randy Orton and Sheamus as potential leaders for the new Nexus before Vince McMahon decided on CM Punk as the leader.

Vince is very high on the new Nexus right now and everyone who matters behind the scenes is praising the group since the changes were made.

Officials had wanted to remove Wade Barrett as the leader going back into late Summer of 2010.

The New Nexus and The Corre have to cross paths one day. I want to see an epic war.

I'd have thought it would be a no brainer for Mania?

^^^that's the plan from what reports on numerous websites are saying.  That the original plan of having Barrett vs Taker at Mania has been scrapped and that the current plan heading into Mania is to have The New Nexus vs The Corre with the stipulation that the losing team has to disband forever and join the winning team as ONE.

I hope The New Nexus wins and that way they can make one big team and have CM Punk as Leader and Wade acting as 2nd in charge/assist leader.  Could you imagine that team then  CM Punk, Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, Mason Ryan, Heath Slater, Michael McGillicutty, Ezekiel Jackson, Husky Harris

That would be awesome, if The Corre were any good. Which they arent.

The more I see of The Corre the less I think of them as a wrestling stable and the more I think of them as a political allegory. I think The Corre is supposed to be the WWEs way of reminding people that socialism is dumb and Dubya was awesome.

And where have you heard this? I haven't seen anything like that anywhere.

And there is no chance that any of those 3 guys were ever being considered as the leader of the Nexus.

I don't think John Morrison could pull it off. I'd like to see him get a push though, every time I see him, he just constantly floors me by how good he is.

... though I doubt that would ever happen (the push that is!).

^actually all 3 were considered Doz.  I would of liked to see how Randy would of led the group.  Don't think Morrison would have fit in just my opinion and Sheamus well he is just better on his own.  He doesn't seem like leadership material, he seems more like a loner or follower

So what you're saying is that even you are smart enough to see that 2 of the 3 proposed leaders would be a terrible fit in the role, and yet you still believe this article from whatever dubious sources you got it from?

The above post has heat with HHH.

well yea Morrison doesn't seem like a leader neither does Sheamus.  Randy has already proven time and time again his leadership qualities and actually i think Nexus would have been better led by Orton over Punk.  Randy is just such a natural born HEEL, i miss his Heel Character especially with a group behind him.  Just a shame WWE didn't go with this option and opted for Punk.  Nothing against Punk but I prefer him on his own whether as a Heel or Face, mind you Face PUNK is boring and lame, he also is a natural HEEL but as a Leader, meh don't think he is HHH or Orton so he just doesn't do it for me as leader of any group.
